SIDRA- Preliminary Findings Launch and Singapore Convention Week

11 SepSIDRA- Preliminary Findings Launch and Singapore Convention Week

The Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy is proud to be a supporting partner at the Singapore Convention Week and UNCITRAL Academy 2021, which is co-organised by the Singapore Ministry of Law and UNCITRAL.

For the UNCITRAL Academy 2021, SIDRA has produced a handbook on the Singapore Convention on Mediation, which serves a guide on the SCM (the link to the Handbook can be found here).  On 7 September 2021, SIDRA co-organised an exchange session between participants with the Singapore International Mediation Centre, and on 8 September 2021, capacity building workshops on the Singapore Convention and Investor-State Dispute Settlement respectively.  These workshops were led by Nadja Alexander and Darius Chan with Rachel Tan, Vakho Giorgadze and Yick Wan Yi supporting, together with partners from the Ministry of Law, UNCITRAL and ICSID.

To end off SIDRA’s participation at the Singapore Convention Week, SIDRA launched the Preliminary Findings of its SIDRA Survey 2021 on 9 September.  The webinar touched on key trends of the preliminary findings and a very robust and engaging panel discussion, and question and answer session facilitated by Nadja Alexander and Michael Peer followed between panellists Chou Sean Yu, Nicholas Lingard, and Krishnan Nadarajan.

The SIDRA Survey 2021 is still ongoing, with the final report due to the launched next year.  If you are a lawyer, in-house counsel, legal advisor or corporate executive with experience in international dispute resolution, we would be very grateful if you could take the time to do the SIDRA Surveys, which will only take 10-15 min each.  The links are found below.
