Mediation is on the rise in the Philippines!

In a webinar hosted by the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIArb) on 20 September 2023, Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA) Research Associate Angela Abala shared trends in international commercial mediation and some ideas on mediation advocacy. 📈

Arleo Magtibay, Jr., Executive Director of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc., discussed Philippine mediation law and sports mediation.

Francis Goh, FSIArb, FCIArb shared his experiences as a mediation advocate and mediator. He also encouraged the attendees to think about ADR not as alternative dispute resolution, but as appropriate dispute resolution.
