Starting in August 2017, SIDRA and the Singapore Management University School of Law launched a joint programme for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars, providing legal practitioners and professionals in Singapore opportunities to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points through the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (SILE). The SMU Law Academy (SMULA, formerly called SMU CLE) has been providing programmes, lectures, workshops, and seminars to the Singaporean practice community for quite some time.

The Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA) was launched on 17 March 2016 at the 2016 Global Pound Conference as a regional hub and international platform for thought leadership, research and development, and training and education in negotiation and dispute resolution.

Since SIDRA's launch, many people have asked, "What is SIDRA?"

Like negotiators and mediators well-versed with the interests-based model, some people have also asked, "Why SIDRA?"

These are good questions, and indeed, questions to be expected.

Since its launch, the Global Pound Conference (GPC) Series has brought together dispute resolution stakeholders at locally-based events and gathered actionable data on the local and global dispute resolution markets.
